Here are 3 of the most common arguments I have heard for fighting against the addition of more sexuality labels. And why I think they are silly.
There are many more arguments. Always more arguments. Maybe I’ll get around to those, too.
[As always, let me know if you would like the original 20x24” files for awareness and education.]
i feel like this can also apply to pronouns.

This needs to be everywhere! And a dog doesn’t have to have a yellow ribbon on it either, just take some time, ask if you can say “Hi”.
You know how yellow/amber in traffic lights means “caution” and “get ready to stop”, right? It’s the same with dogs..
Please teach children to do the same, I know they can be wild at times, and that’s part of their charm, but it can freak a dog out. Teach them to be calm, be polite.
I’m tempted to print out the first part and post them around the park…It’s a great idea- the yellow ribbon
My dog is one of those who really needs their personal space. He’s very shy and has fear aggression. I always warn people and they end up not taking me seriously because he’s a Shih-Tzu, but he’s bitten people before, and they always act so surprised >.>
<3 I’ll try the yellow ribbon thing, hopefully it really catches on as a symbol.
omg please read
seriously
my puppy was attacked at the Dog Park
She’s been weird ever since.
I was cooking on the grill, not 5 minutes ago (10/2/2012)
And she literally just ran out of my porch door with 6 in of space (how)
and ran around to “investigate” my neighboors dogs
They were inside, but the screen door was up - she heard them
I am a wreck. Everything is fine - but what if those dogs had been out?
not all dogs are just ok - some come from weird backgrounds
give them time to adjust and don’t assume they’re ok with other dogs up in their shit
Athla’s not.
It doesn’t mean she’s a bad dog.
I think this speaks for itself. Accepting a person doesn’t mean you get to put limits on their freedom. You can’t be an ally and want us to stop talking, or labeling, or demanding to be heard.
Acceptance has no exceptions. Period.
“AS LONG AS YOU DON’T USE A WEIRD LABEL”
I have seen far too many people on tumblr start to whine that eight labels for sexuality is going “too far”, when a lot of those people know over 81 times that when it comes to Pokemon, and I’m pretty sure sexuality labels are more important that virtual monsters.
Sexuality and gender identity labels aren’t “frivolous”. And the vast majority of people that use them aren’t trying to be “special”, they’re merely trying to find a word that validates and explains their orientation - something that most people have and take for granted.
tl;dr: This person is amazing and I love their graphics so much it hurts.
With Halloween just around the corner (yay!!), I figured it was time to bring back this rad campaign from Ohio University.
There are endless cute, sexy, funny, even offensive costumes that don’t perpetuate racist stereotypes. There is really no excuse.
Full disclosure: I was sort of surprised that the geisha costume was considered insulting, since that was an actual profession. But if Japanese people are insulted by it, then I accept that. Not that I had any plans of ever dressing up as a geisha (I doubt it’d be a flattering look for me), but if I had had such plans, I would now dismiss them.
“The Office of Human Rights transgender and gender identity non-discrimination campaign will appear throughout DC in Fall and Winter of 2012. The campaign will feature five transgender or gender non-conforming people in a series of five ads. The campaign aims to increase understanding of the community, reduce discriminatory incidents in DC and increase reporting of discrimination when it happens.”

Close.
Sex without consent is a form of sexual assault.
But more precisely, sex without consent is RAPE.
